I Was frozen today!

Was actually gunna call this "I saw frozen today!" since that's like, the joke everyone's doing after they see that movie, but I figured that people who didn't know that joke would think I was a hyperactive little kid XD
Plus I saw it a month ago...

So the movie Frozen is the hype nowadays, and with catchy music like dat, you can't blame it. But is it really as good as people say? I went into the theaters knowing it was getting very high praise. So of course I was expecting something grand that'd pull right at the heartstrings of my soul like "Catching Fire" did. Was it incredible? I forgot it the next day. -_- The music was typical disney, and I was rather annoyed at the movie actually. They spent so much time building up things only to slap you in the face and letting the great moments only last seconds. Like the ending where Anna's heart thaws and Elsa all 'oh you're alive of course i'll thaw the place with love yay the end!' ......WHAT?? We kept getting told the sisters were so close, but really what a cop out in an extreme moment. Speaking of cop outs, I was also annoyed that they had to make the prince a villain. Sometimes people fall in love with two people and eventually you have to chose between the two. Making one evil to make the decision easier was a dodge to a huge real-life lesson ya coulda done there. Plus that "Love is an open door" song was awesome but now it's tainted -_-
And of course the song "Let it go" is what everyone remembers most about the movie. But when I first saw the movie, I was downright confused. Was Elsa just saying 'screw everything I know, screw my parents, my kingdom, my people, screw that I almost killed my sister with these powers now I loooooove them!' I got a little "eye-rolly" cuz the song was totally shoving girl power in your face. Seriously, I had to listen to the song 2000 times before I really got the message. And still I don't know why Elsa went to that conclusion. It seemed so different from her character that was shown at first, I was 'who da frig is dis?' at that moment. And not in a good way.
Oh, and the love story? It-was-copy-paste-of-Tangled!! I mean really? Anna is Rapunzel, Cristoph was Flynn, the rock trolls were the pub guys, the reindeer may as well be a recolor of Maximus the horse, really guys you've told this story already!
One thing I surprisingly really liked in the movie was Olaf the snowman. And I wasn't expecting him to be good since I heard it was the same actor and same personality of Ben the robot from Treasure Planet, and that character was just kinda awkward.
But yea, he was funny, and done better this time.
The song "Do you wanna build a snowman" I was expecting to be annoying since everyone was saying it was. And....it was. But I found myself humming it though a couple days later, totally randomly and unexpectedly. 0_0 That's when I decided to go back and listen to all the songs again. And thus the more and more I listened to them, the more I though "Daaaaw, I can totally see Cynder asking the moody Zirra to build a snowman with her...^^" And this was made. yay^^

In short, what I remembered most about Frozen was that I was totally confused by it and I how  much better I wish it was and could have been.
But at least we have these goshdarn songs now 80
